Dogechain has shared proof of a transaction showing that its team successfully burned 800 bln DC tokens worth $2.24 bln at the current exchange rate. The Dogechain team describes the recent incineration as “the Greatest Burn Event”. According to the details of the transaction, the ignition was completed on October 31, 2022 at 04:20 (UTC).
Dogechain has said it will update its token metrics to reflect the recent burn. Initially, out of 1 trln Dogechain tokens, 726 bln tokens were successfully burned, and as a result of the last burn, 800,726,256,133 (800.72 bln) coins were burned. The total supply of Dogechain is currently 199,273,743,867 (199.27 bln) DC tokens.
On August 29, 2022, the price of Dogechain jumped to an All-Time High of $0.0046. Although the price is down 40.1% compared to ATH, the team is looking to add value again by promoting its widespread adoption. Dogechain has registered over 250,000 unique wallets, 55 mln cumulative transactions, and an average of 1 mln transactions per day. Last month, Dogechain launched its naming system, dubbed the Dogechain Name Service (DNS).
